Well I certainly have a very double decker problem on my hands with this year's theme. I have chosen to highlight TV's first cartoon family and it looks like 2026/2027 has them in quite the demand war. We all know the new Simpsons movie will be here next year but I think the biggest question on everyone's mind is: How has Universal Studios NOT highlighted/decorated Simpsons Land yet for HHN? Well after the Disney acquisition I think it's safe to say those waters have been muddied a bit. Next year would seem to be the last year that Universal could go all out and give us The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror through-out Simpsons land and boy would that be a huge treat for not only Simpsons fans but HHN fans alike. No one is really sure if and when The Simpsons will make their debut at something like Disney's Hollywood Studios but until then it would be a dream come true to get this attraction Halloween-ified. Right now you can see every single Treehouse of Horror on Disney+ which is something I typically watch every year but if we could get one year of a decked out Treehouse of Horror at Simpsons-land before we have to wait 4-6yrs for it to move to it's new home that would be a DEFRIGHT delight.

We're Back Witches
While the world would prefer them hiding in their forest homes, some of our favorite witches have decided to return to enchant the world with a little more magic. Practical Magic 2 puts us right back in the action of the original but this time we have a mother/daughter/auntie team-up to help break the curse of the Owens family. Plenty of witty moments and as usual Nicole and Sandra bring their delightful presence back to the big screen. Flying over to animated world we have a bewitching story for the young witches brought to us by Disney with Hexed. I don't know to much about this one so like the rest of you I will have to take my mini-witches in training (nieces) to rate and review so stay tuned for that in late November under the Imagination section. Lastly we have the one thing I literally had to dream into reality with AHS S13 and so far I absolutely love it. The Witches have only just been awaken by whatever evil force has come to town but as long as we get the Coven back I'm ready for anything. The first 3 episodes have some confused but I mean duh you're never supposed to get the entire thing in the first 3 episodes, we are getting the setup and it feels like some of the internet might get what's happening. The whole feel and environment feels like AHS in it's glory days and having all of our favorite characters back is a true trick and treat.

Awww you decided to come back for more madness and mayhem but like ranked! Well this year I didn't rank this category because yet again we have some films/shows that are all on the same playing field. When it comes to one of our favorite taboo subjects (ALIENS) what is the best depiction and most accurate view of the subject? I believe I have selected a top 5 that fits the bill. These movies/films aren't just "Let's have fun with Alien Lore" picks or "We have a huge budget so let's have at it". No, No these films/shows are a look at reality and what government or human beings in general don't want you to know but literally have to expose after a few years. Decades go by and sometimes the clues and signs of alien life and our interactions with these beings can't be concealed for much longer.....

Looking for the perfect Haunted House? Every year I do Halloween Horrors at Universal Studios Hollywood or Orlando and let me tell you it is the crown jewel of Haunted Houses. If you love actual horror films and halloween it's a dream come true. The theme is different every year but it really feels like you are walking on the set and experiencing the terror of some of the best horror films ever crafted. Many of the films from my horror suggestions list have been recreated here as well as my favorite show on TV, so enjoy the footage I've collected over the years.....

So you want to be terrified but also prepare your little monsters for the future of horror? I would say Dark Nights is a perfect hybrid for the full family. There are great treats and activities for the little ones but the haunted houses will not disappoint for the brave ones. This may be a little more cavity-causing than Universal (being as though this is the home of all things chocolate) but again if you don't want to leave the kids behind and want the full family experience take a bite out of this park for Halloween for sure!
