Ashleys' Marvel Conspiracy Theories

Ready to go down the rabbit hole?

Onslaught

Theory Origin: None

Sorry fans but I have nothing to backup this theory. This is another one of those throw it at the wall and see if it sticks dream appearances. One of my brothers' favorite villains could always make a cameo or be added to the cast of a very far-out x-men film but you can be assured that Marvel would properly give him screen justice. This foe is so powerful that like Thanos, it will take every single super-hero on earth to even have a shot at defeating him.

Franklin Richards

Theory Origin: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Fun Fact: I once looked up the 2 most powerful beings in all of Marvel Comics (about 3 yrs ago so forgive me if this has changed) and Dark Phoenix/Franklin Richards are the names that appeared. I knew for some time that Jean Gray was one of them but this un-assuming 8/9yr old was the last thing I expected to see on that list. Jean is the mutant that brings about the apocalypse and Fox did a slightly convincing job portraying that in the last X-men with Famke Jensens' Jean but in the comics it means the end of all life period. Franklin however was said to be even more dangerous than Jean and that an alternate adult version of him becomes Kang. Franklin's powers are infinite and they are spawned from his incredibly cosmic parents Reed and Sue of the fantastic 4. He was only quickly referenced in Multiverse of Madness before Scarlet Witch annihilated a version of his father. It is rumored that Fantastic Four First Steps will fully bring him to the big screen and that he is the one Galactus (the devourer of worlds in the cosmos) is coming for.

America Chavez: Key to the Multiversal War

Theory Origin: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

This one seems obvious but sometimes a breakdown is necessary. America is the only being right now who can execute inter-dimensional travel effortlessly. If any good force has any hope of catching or confronting multiple versions of Kang they are gonna need something better/more powerful than a time travel expert (sorry Stark). America is the only being that can transport any team member to any and every version of Kang possible so make sure you guys take care of this teenage cargo. Now to the other end of this, the TVA has the technology to also portal people through dimensions but relying on that solely would be foolish.

Death will Return

Theory Origin: Agatha All Along

Thanos' love interest finally shows up and oh boy was she menacing! Aubrey Plaza did a dazzling job as death embodied in Agatha All Along and she was able to keep the mystery of her character going for quite some time. In this series, they portrayed her as Agatha's love interest but what's so perfect about this character is that her love affair is not gender bound and can really hoover over any being she pleases. It's no surprise that a being like Thanos would be enchanted by her as she is the one whom he moves heaven and earth to be with which is quite a poetic love twist. The MCU has already teased that 'King Thanos' will return (although we are not to sure where and when) but now that we have his love interest on screen in physical form that should be a highly anticipated reunion. Her counterpart Eternity who gave rebirth to Love in Thor 3 would also be a great cosmic showdown if that were to ever happen on screen.

Shang-Chi: Welcome to the Quantum Realm

Theory Origin: Shang-Chi (Legend of the 10 rings)

My blood tells me we will absolutely see Shang-Chi in Ant-man Quantumania. They are both located in San Francisco and Shang-Chi has the 10 rings which is certainly the "Beacon" Captain Marvel spoke of in the end credit of his movie. Kang is coming to collect what was once his...see you soon Shang!

The Legion of the Unliving

Theory Origin: None....Yet!

There are a lot of elements hinting at some version of this happening but not likely at all or in the near future. Some members of this team include Baron Zemo, Human Torch, Bucky Barnes, Black Knight, Drax, The Red Guardian, Wonder Man (coming soon) and a version of Tony Stark. All of these characters are already loved and in play plus there are countless more members that have been yet introduced. With Blade, Werewolf by Night and Moonknight already on the scene (as well as zombie Wanda and zombie Strange already having made an appearance)...the legion is just simmering for screen time. Kang and Immortus are the ones who assembled this team and as we know the Kang Dynasty is a few years away but you can certainly believe he has a plan for defeat if that is his fate. This crew is made up of deceased villains and heroes so as the next few years unfolds and you see some of your favorites start to fall off the face of the earth... they could be lurking in this bunch of dead misfits.

Kang Gang

Theory Origin: Doctor Strange 2/WandaVision

I'm basing this theory off of a few different clues I've gathered from some of the more recent shows and movies. I'm wondering if a version of Kang is the one who wrote the Book of the Damned and is working along side Mephisto (or Nightmare) to get Wanda to give birth to an alternate version of himself. In one of the comics, Kang is evaluating which woman of power he wants to pick for this task and it's between Scarlet Witch, Agatha and Mantis. All 3 are women with great power but I do believe Scarlet Witch would be the front runner for this task since she's already having a deeper origin story more recently. All of this could certainly change when Agatha Coven of Chaos is released and we could see some new women of power show up to stop or change this or even introduce Dark Phoenix. Mutants is now a comfortable and realistic word in the MCU and it would be of no surprise for the cinematic version of these events to change the selection of ladies and add Jean Gray to the list of potentials for Kangs' great plan.

Storm

Theory Origin: MoonKnight/Black Panther 2

We know that mutants have been randomly showing up in the MCU since the Fox Quicksilver made a cameo in WandaVision. Ms Marvel was a confirmed Mutant and supposedly Namor will be considered one as well but what about the possibility of T'Challa's lady love showing up on screen to further tease the fans. I caught 2 hints at a possible Storm appearance:

  • The first one is a long shot. The queen of Wakanda's silver hair may be a coincidence or it could be an

Easter egg for another silver-haired beauty showing up to Wakanda.
  • MoonKnight has introduced us to Storms' home and origin so using both franchises to bring together the show and the film would be masterful.
  • In the comics, Storm and Black Panther are married and as of right now we know Nakia was the love interest from the first film. However if my theory from below comes to be true, a black panther from an alternate universe (cough cough Killmonger) could easily be introduced as the new couple on screen. Marvel has been known to modify the source material to make it more presentable on screen.

IMG_6617.JPG

Black Panther/Killmonger

Theory Origin: What If? (T.V. Series)

The fans loved Michael B Jordan as Killmonger, he gave an awesome performance. So much so that if the last episode of What If were to come to life it would bring us Eric Killmonger as the new Black Panther without the villainous background. This goes to question could this new Black Panther come with a completely different love interest? So many people (myself included) assume that Shuri will take the mantel as she did in the comics but WHAT IF we were thrown a curve ball? We saw what looked like a female costume in the trailer but that could be a strategic mind game played cruelly on the fans. Since the passing of Chadwick, the biggest question has been who will be the next Black Panther and to assume that Marvel will fall in line with the typical answer is foolish.....November 10th will tell us the answer.

Captain America: Hydra

Theory Origin: Avengers End Game

Really there is 1 movie that stood out to me for this theory: Avengers End Game. I've stated before that Chris Evans is definitely coming back as something. The fun and crazy part about it is the more you dig and analyze, the more you realize Marvel is yet again twisting reality. Cap could come back as a Skrull in Secret Wars, The Human Torch in a Multi-versal moment or Evil Hydra Cap in a movie like Kang Dynasty. We also just don't know what happen to him or where he could have ended up when he returned the Infinity Stones.

  • There was only 1 line needed to spark all kinds of craziness. Marvel probably thought the regular fans would think this line is a cute nod to Winter Soldier but 3rd eye fans had questions. When he had Loki's septer in the elevator, before he fought himself on that bridge in Hydra's old building, he whispered "Hail Hydra" for the agents to give him what he needed with no question.

  • The fact that he fought a version of himself on that bridge could be alluding to something interesting in the future....

Nightmare

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

If you scroll down a bit you will see my Mephisto Theory....however there could be another Demon at play here in the MCU who's a Loki level threat. The only Movie that truly tangles the confusion of "Are we getting Nightmare or are we getting Mephisto" is Doctor Strange 2 (sprinkled in with a little bit of WandaVision).

  • The opening Marvel logo typically has a different spin on it every movie and as we watched MOM opening marvel credit we can clearly see an ominous face in purple....but which demon is lurking in this opening credit?......

  • The theme song opening in the trailer of MOM was "Dreams" (this being is the ruler of this dimension and well that's pretty self explanatory).

  • Lastly, Wanda's subtle but perfectly timed comment about her children...."I know their real because I dream about them every night. Every night the same DREAM and every morning the same NIGHTMARE.

The Watchers

Theory Origin: GOTG V2 / What If / Thor Love and Thunder

Oh those little big-headed beings who could have probably saved the universe at least 90x but chose to sit back, relax and eat Cheetos while the world went to shit. These are some of the most powerful beings in Marvel comics and we are seeing them pop up more and more. At this point it's just a game of which film...

  • In Guardians of the Galaxy V2 we get a quick glimpse of what these guys COULD look like on screen. In the past (with characters like Thanos) we've seen one version on screen and then a way better version years later so when these guys decide to show up fully they will likely look way better then they did in this film.

  • We have already seen 3 elements of material show up in the MCU movies from the "What If" series (Captain Carter / Sinister Strange / Zombie(s) Wanda) it leaves open for

interpretation that we could see the last episode come to life...which would be EPIC!
  • Thor L&T had a huge statue in Eternitys Layer of The Watcher along with some other anticipated characters so.. let's see!

The Silver Surfer

Theory Origin: Spider-Man 2 & 3

So you know how excited I was for Vision and my anticipation level for Beta-Ray Bill...yeah times that by 100 for fans who have been waiting for the Surfer. We got a pretty great version of him in the Fox Fantastic 4 movie Rise of the Silver Surfer but just wait until Marvel gets their hands on him. My brother and Uncle have been waiting patiently for Galactus' herald and below are the two Easter eggs I caught that will inevitably bring him to life sooner than later.

  • In Spider-Man: Far From Home, Happy Hogan is on a video call with Nick Fury and he subtly makes a reference to Tony having a "Surf Board" in his stuff (I mean this one is pretty in your face lol).

  • In Spider-Man: No Way Home, as Doctor Strange is creating his spell to allow the world to forget Peter Parker a being is seen emerging from what looks like a board from the universal background.

  • We already know a Fantastic 4 film is coming and WandaVision has made reference to the astronauts but more importantly Doctor Strange 2 already gave us Reed Richards and the Baxter Building......Yippppeee!!!

Namor: The Sub-Mariner

Theory Origin: Doctor Strange 2

Factoid: I have been wanting Namor to show up since Age of Ultron (Avengers 2) but didn't have any real conclusive evidence that he would be appearing any time soon. The only 3 pieces I'm throwing at the wall for this character to show up is below:

  • Avengers EndGame started it all with Okoye and Black Widow's comment about the "earthquake" under the ocean (wonder who's guilty of that).

  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness brought us The Illuminati and Namor is a board member in the comics! Sadly, Black Panther is as well and we know he won't be returning at the moment. I believe Marvel strategically left out these 2 board members because Namor will be the Villain (or at least start as one) in Black Panther 2.

  • Black Panther 2 is set to release later this year and it has been hinted that he will either be the villain or show up to help fight Kraven if he shows up in this film.

Michael Korvac

Theory Origin: None

I will openly admit....there has been 0 hint at Korvac coming to the big screen. I saw him in an episode of Avengers Assemble when the Guardians of the Galaxy landed on Earth by accident and I highly enjoyed the episode and his character. There have been rumors that he is the possible villain in Captain Marvel 2 (or it could be GOTG V3) but only time will tell.

Mephisto is Lurking

Theory Origin: WandaVision/Loki

The running joke since the 1st or 2nd episode of WandaVision has been this alluring Marvel Villain. My guess is he will be the Loki level villain in the next phase then comes Kang. My claims for this theory comes from the following bullet points of information I put together:

  • Wanda having twin boys out of the random blue (in the comics Mephisto was the one who caused this to happen).

  • It's all for the children: Agatha Harkness seems very keen on getting these little bundles of joy out of Wanda and into the world

  • The Presto truck at the end of the episode was very suspicious

  • The secret Layer in Agatha's basement seems like a layer of hell that Mephisto would operate from

  • The devil's gum reference in Loki

  • The Demon shown on the stain glass window in Loki

  • Mephisto is the one character who could tie together nicely all the current storylines in play: Thor / Doctor Strange / Daredevil / Fantastic Four and Spider-man all set to release or current

Beta-Ray Bill

Theory Origin: GOTG V1 / Thor Ragnarok

There has really only been 2 pieces of information to back up the theory that one of my favorite characters is coming to the big screen. I have loved Beta-Ray Bill since I watched the mighty Avengers cartoons and I am 100% positive when he comes on the screen I am going to lose my shit. Think Thor but from a different dimension and well a horse head.... that is truly the best way to describe him.

  • In Guardians of the Galaxy V1 we can clearly see a being sitting in one of the clear glass tubes in Tivan's collections. As it turns it's head from looking down, a long red cape is visible and what looks to be the shape of a horse nose...then it cuts to the next scene.

  • Thor Ragnarok had the most blatant visual of Beta when the camera cuts back from the statue of champions and he is seen to the left of hulks face.

Lastly, the plot of Thor: Love & Thunder involves Gor the God butcher who in the comics needed 3 different versions of Thor to be defeated. We already know Jane will be the new Thor and regular Thor will be involved but it leaves room for interpretation that Beta could show up to help the fight.

Galactus

Theory Origin: Eternals

There isn't much to write about this theory. We have seen the severed head of a celestial in GOTG, we have seen Dormamu in Doctor Strange and then we got Tiamut in Eternals....all of this activity just screams a  Galactus type presence. Trust my words...he's coming!

Fantastic 4/ Human Torch

Theory Origin:

Spider-Man: Far From Home / Wanda-Vision

My first theory has already been publicly confirmed so not much to reveal here, it's more so which film they will be hinted at/introduced in.

  • Spider-man 2 gave us the biggest hint with the whole "Can't wait to show you what's next" below the Avengers Tower and having 3 lines dotted to a 4th missing image.

  • Wanda-Vision took it up a notch by having Monica mention knowing some "astro-physists" who could probably help assist when trying to enter Westfield. Oddly enough we never saw them and there was also mention of some activity in space during the blip when some astronauts went missing.....hmmmm interesting!

  • My last but fun theory for the F4 is Chris Evans showing up as both Captain America and Human Torch in some weird Multi-verse moment (or just human torch). We all know he signed an additional deal to show up in more movies but has made a huge stink about not coming back as the Captain. My mind only wanders to a different conclusion but I have been wrong plenty of times.
