All Disney+ tv shows ranked by Ashley from worst to best!

13.  Ms Marvel

Kamala Khan is certainly the 16 year old me (obsessed with Captain Marvel, always in her own fantasy land and gets along better with a smaller population). The show was cute for the kiddies and Kamala will make a fantastic addition to the young Avengers but as an adult Avengers fan, I will stick to the gritty stuff. I do love the balance Marvel gives the fans by making some of the shows geared towards the adult fans and some towards the new little ones (then the movies blend the best of both worlds). Although this made the lower tier of my favorites the heart of the show and this new Avenger was appreciated and the end credit was exactly what I wanted and a nice foreshadow.

12.GOTG Holiday Special

scale.jpeg

This particular show was never meant to blow us out of the water....it was planted for excitement and Marvel Easter eggs. I have still elected to add the Special Presentations to this list because Werewolf by Night was so on-point now it's necessary. This one was a cute holiday watch and adding Kevin Bacon to the mix after including him in jokes for all these years was so marvelous. What would be really insane is if they brought him back as Sebastian Shaw from First-Class in a multiversal moment which would make 0 sense but doesn't stop me from wanting to see it. The Quill twist at the end was cute and though I had always suspected that plot twist with mantis would happen/make sense, I'm glad they confirmed it and will use it going forward. The biggest thing I loved is that they brought the Guardians back to memory without giving any spoilers to the new movie. There are so many characters I'm hoping will show up in GOTG 3 and my boy Adam Warlock has a HUGE burden to carry as all eyes will be on his performance (he is a highly anticipated character). This was a nice warm-up for summer 2023!

11.  The Falcon & The Winter Soldier

Where I enjoyed the heart and direction of this show, out of all the ones I saw in 2021 this one brought the least excitement for each new episode. The Falcon and Winter Soldier as actual heroes I am on board for. I look forward to them being new and welcomed leading Avengers, however the story came off a bit boring at times and the villain was very underwhelming. The MCU has brought us many bad ass female villains and I'm sure more are to come but Karli was not one of them and the fake Captain America bothered my soul. I do like where they are leading his character however. So yes I am ready for these two in the future but in tv show form this is where I'm glad this story remained.

10. She-Hulk

she-hulk-finale-criticism.jpg.webp

The first episode of She-Hulk was fantastic. We got our Deadpool level character and she was witty, sassy and exactly what a 30-yr old female should be. We got Hulk and some Easter eggs to where he is and where he's going. Tatiana played the part perfectly and it was a cute origin story for her but it lacked what Hulk has been holding back for it's entire MCU run (which to be fair isn't on She-hulk's shoulders). Rewind to the hulk vs abomination fight from The Hulk movie...EPIC. Fast-forward to hulk VS Thor in Ragnarok...YES. Finally Hulk Vs Thanos in Infinity War started as the best hulk match-up to date but got cut pretty short. The theme for all these fights and a hulk is clear: The MCU is saving Hulk (and) She-Hulk for something incredible. The Matrix scene in the last episode where She-Hulk meets Kevin Feige as an AI was exactly what I wanted. There were some episodes that were a little cheesy which can happen in the MCU because of Disney but the daredevil episode made up for that entirely. The tease of more hulks (with the leak of Red Hulk coming soon) makes my girl a welcomed entry into the new cosmic MCU.

9. Hawkeye

This is where we get to the good stuff! Again we see the birth of a new future Avenger, Kate Bishop and boy was she bad ass! I love her version of Hawkeye more than Jeremy Renner but I do love him as an actor. This show had one of my favorite actresses Vera Farmiga playing Kate's mother and a very finely played covert villain if I may add. The whole show had a great story arch, passed the torch very nicely and had 2 of the best cameos...Yelena and Kingpin! I've already expressed my love for Yelena so her and Kates chemistry was masterful but the way the MCU is bringing in the Netflix Marvel shows was the cherry on a fantastic Christmas themed treat from this series.

8. Echo

Screen Shot 2024-02-27 at 12.09.56 PM.png

Echo was the female daredevil that the MCU t.v. verse has been waiting for (along with Jessica Jones). The Native American cultural pieces in this show were fantastic and I'm hoping somewhere down the line they can bridge her with Khaorri's story. The fight scenes in this show were a notch under Winter Soldier fight scenes in the regular MCU which is me giving it high accolades in those regards. I loved pretty much every episode but in the grand scheme of marvel i'm not sure where Echo is going to fit in. If we are talking street level bad-ass protectors, Echo and Kate Bishop are officially hired.

7. Secret Invasion

This series got mixed reviews which seems a bit confusing to me but also a tad bit understandable. This one (like Captain Marvel) was meant to be a cog in a much larger machine that will take a few years to get running. Secret Wars is a HUGE storyline in the MCU and right now Marvel is attempting to take not only 1 big storyline like previously (Infinity Saga) but 2 (Secret Wars and The Kang Dynasty) and that in itself is quite a task to under-take. You can't bring out the big guns in the first go around. Secret Invasion was a nice light foreshadow into a huge film and I think Nick Fury did a great job at the starting helm. Emilia Clarke is now the mother of dragons, the mother of terminators and strongest hybrid Avenger which is a pretty impressive resume. I wished they had used that last fight in the last episode for a movie but I understand needing something of that magnitude for the show. Overall I enjoyed the show and Olivia Colman was def a stand-out character.

6. What if....? S1 & 2

MV5BNzgxYzI2YWUtZDcxYy00MTljLTliMjItZTUyZTYyMWZiZjZjXkEyXkFqcGdeQXVyNjg2NjQwMDQ_._V1_.jpg

Season 2: Yet again I place a season on the list in the same spot as the previous because it was truly on par (actually passed) with the first season. In my opinion, Season 2 had multiple good episodes (there was only 2 I didn't care for) and Season 1 had about 3 or 4 stand-out episodes so kudos to season 2. Khaorri was fantastic and I know for certainty they are going to bring her to life for real; there's no way they can't. Her episode was my favorite of all of them followed by the last episode but honestly episodes 6-9 brought the heat for each one. Soon I will create my conspiracy theories geared towards this series to predict which story-lines I think may actually come to fruition. Season 3 was announced and I am so on board and ready for that also! Nice Job/Follow-up Marvel.

Season 1: So let me start by saying I delayed watching this one for MONTHS even after it had already came out and got good reviews. I was convinced this was Marvel's way of keeping us entertained until the real movies and stories returned and boy was that a mistake. I want to highlight my favorite episode which was the Doctor Strange episode (that we may soon come to find out) could be the actual plot of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It took some of the theories I THOUGHT I had and turned them completely upside down and got me even more excited for the film then I already was (side-note it may have even been better than the actual Doctor Strange movie). This series was remarkable and I couldn't stop watching each episode and getting even more excited for the possibilities that Marvel could bring us and was likely pre-teasing us to, something they always do!

5. Werewolf by Night

I am already a huge fan of all things scary and all creatures that go bump in the night, so I was ecstatic that Marvel had something up their sleeves before Blade. So many upcoming projects have been announced and we know Blade is on the way but how do you properly setup vampires and monsters in an already set universe? The answer is Werewolf by Night. The show took it back to old school Nosferatu style story-telling and it gave me League of Extraordinary Gentlemen vibes mixed with a horror Squid/Hunger Games element. Elsa Bloodstone will make a fantastic horror leading lady in the future and if the Werewolf, MoonKnight and Blade get together well let's just hope Doctor Strange doesn't need to keep them in check. Plus the music and transformation at the end...beautiful....just beautiful.

4. MoonKnight

003_MoonKnight_KA_R2_JLY_C15_IH_W3.0_ALT_IG_Mech2.jpg

I must say Moon Knight was a pleasant surprise that I was seriously not expecting. We Marvel fans are very familiar with the main characters and are even starting to embrace the lesser known front runners but Moon Knight was a wild card. What I love about Marvel is their ability to bring something fresh, new and interesting to the table no matter what the content is. I'm a lover of certain parts of history and I enjoyed the ride this show took us on to learn about ancient Egypt. Egypt is such a mystical and magical place in my mind and though I have not been (yet) I can't wait to visit with a little help from the sights and influences I got from this show. More importantly let's get into Oscar Issacs superb acting in becoming 3 versions of the same character and nailing every one. Realistically the show needs another season or 2 to really understand everything I saw...I'm still a little lost. Layla was a delight and I enjoyed her and Moon Knights' interactions but this soared to number 3 because of Oscars' performance.

3. X-Men 97

There was a time when you would wake up for Saturday morning cartoons and just feel so excited for shows like this. Now here we are in the crux of Marvel Disney+ shows and that feeling is back all over again. Putting a twist on Magneto's story was unexpected but welcomed and making all the women of X-men bad ass is insanely appreciated. From the Jean Grey surprise to Rogue's intense episode the show has all the merit's for top show placement. Finally my girl storm is bringing all the thunder, heat, smoke and wind with her awesome character (one of my favorite episodes included her regaining something she lost). Currently this is the highest rated show for Marvel on Disney+ but I can't give it that title on my list just yet. As far as animation however? Yes. This out-paces What If!

2. Loki S1 & 2

Screen Shot 2020-05-14 at 3.50.10 PM.png

Season 1: Loki was the show I was most excited about above all, simply because I knew for a fact it was going to be the most cosmic and mind-blowing show out of them all (my favorite concepts). When I saw the Infinity Stones in a drawer at the TVA, I like many of the fans was completely lost and afraid that we were dealing with something even bigger than I had imagined! Watching the God of mischief actually fall in love with a variant of himself was captivating (kudos Sylvie) and the episode where we got to see different versions of Loki was even more amazing. Just when you thought Loki could not out-Loki himself here he comes again to show us why he is truly one of the best villains in cinema history (and now on the small screen as well). The excitement of not knowing where else he will show up in the MCU in the future and the tease of one of the best villains in Marvel Comics (Kang the Conqueror) makes this series a top tier marvel watch!

Season 2: I know, I should not be allowed to do this but i'm going to. I want my current top 5 to remain as is for as long as I can and I don't think I can put one season over the other. I can honestly say I equally loved both seasons the exact same. Cast was STILL amazing, each episode was better and better and yet again Majors as Kang was just perfectly on point. I will however highlight my favorite episodes and new stand out character (O.B.) He was the perfect addition to the cast and my 2 favorite episodes were: When they went back to visit Victor Timely & Loki's travel through the moments of time episode. Those episodes were top notch from this season but overall the show was able to yet again pull off being one of the best treats marvel has to offer in this new saga.

1. WandaVision

Screen Shot 2020-05-14 at 3.42.44 PM.png

This seems a little dramatic right? Giving this show a #1 spot alongside WandaVision seems like a bold move but as always this category is a personal preference dish best served accurate. I dare say I liked it a little more than WandaVision minus not giving Scarlet Witch a much deserved cameo. This show (like MoonKnight & X-men) allowed me to LOVE every single episode but was done so creatively different that I'm not sure where to start on the topic. It was Wizard of Oz meets Labyrinth meets Saw, but with some Marvel seasoning salt mixed through-out. The witches were all love-able (RIP Sharon Hart, who was hilarious) and each brought their own flare to their respective role but the big 3 has to be Agatha, Teen & Rio. They packed a lot of punch with their characters and gave the show even more depth. Giving each episode a new trial/escape room episode was another excellent creative touch from the Marvel team and I found myself eager to watch a new episode each week. I will say it didn't 100% have the ending I was looking for but that will be carried over to VisionQuest i'm assuming or potentially Agatha S 2....or Billy Maximoff spinoff?.....

My goodness WandaVision....Where do I even begin? I will start with honesty, the first 3 episodes will have you confused and wondering should you even keep going. They feel like walking slowly down Alice's Rabbit Hole and wondering what's at the end of the tunnel? This is all without noticing the incredible mind ride you're on while traveling down. The biggest reason why I loved WandaVision above all was the same exact reason I loved Eternals: It was something new and fresh. Not only did we get to journey into Wanda becoming one of the most, if not THE most powerful character in the MCU outside of when Jean Grey decides to show up but we are watching her history. The last 2 episodes were amazing cinematography and word-play (The Vision VS Vision fight) plus we got a little sneak peek into some Mutant origins! This show truly showed us that The Scarlet Witch is one of the most anticipated and dangerous beings in the MCU!!
