Speaking of the South of France, let's talk about the home to one of the greatest film festivals in the world. Cannes in the French Riviera is a lavish and robust little town of gorgeous yachts and exotic cars. The other best thing about this city is some of the beautiful hotels and the convenience they offer if you are a lady looking to spend some euro. I was lucky enough to stay at the (Members only content location) where some of the top celebrities in history have stayed to attend the Cannes Film Festival. This hotel spared no expense at making my stay feel royal and over the top (which is completely appropriate given the setting of where this hotel is nestled). From it's gorgeous chandelier, to it's fine dinning and top notch cuisines I would feel safe saying this was number 3 for my top hotels in the world (see that list here). One thing I can't forget to talk about is the beach scene here..oh man! The beaches of Cannes can be similarly matched to the beaches of Spain and if you've been to either you know what I'm talking about! Many beaches in Europe have their own feel and difference from that of an Island or something comparable in the United States (Florida or California for example). The vibe is much more relaxed and laid back as opposed to having to physically impress those around you by what you look like in a bikini. Many older and wealthier residence rely on the beaches of Cannes and the younger crowd can be seen on their yacht parties further out in the ocean, so this makes for a nice low-key feeling.
General Consensus: For anyone that has ever wanted to visit this opulent locale I would give a big thumbs up, if again you are looking to relax. This is not where you go if you're looking to party the night away, unless you have that yacht connection to make it worth your while.
