So how do you properly write about your favorite place in all of Italy? I guess I can first start by explaining why I feel this way about this tiny little Island easily accessible from Positano. Capri is busy like a city, has all the properties of an Island, has one of the funnest boat ride routes and experiences, delicious Italian food and well shopping (you knew it was coming). This is one of the exclusive locations in the world where a designer store (Dolce & Gabbana to be exact) makes exclusive pieces unique to this address (see below for my custom hat and beach bag). You can also find some of your other favorite high end shopping pals on this Island (Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Versace etc) if this is your guilty pleasure of choice. Outside of the shopping, the funicular is the most captivating and exciting thing on the Island that allows you to take a ride to the top of Capri and see the views and the water un-like any other. Another favorite little quirk of mine are the tiny shops at the top of the hill. These particular shops aren't high end but hold some beautiful little pieces and trinkets that you will certainly want to take home as a keepsake. My biggest recommendation however is taking a boat ride with friends from this Island (also the only way on or off the Island). You will also want to include a private boat tour/ride if you have the time and funds which should allow you to get different sized boats according to what fits your budget.
General Consensus: Capri is likely where I would go back to have my honeymoon (if I ever meet a man lmao) simply because it is my favorite kept secret in all of Italy (possibly the world). 3rd time would be a charm for me and this little locale has all the properties to be one of your favorite hot zones in Italy as well. If you are looking for something low-key, quiet yet busy and something alluring enough to impress the whole family...Capri will satisfy your hunger.
