I always wondered what remote and lux Islands like Fiji had to offer so I decided to find out the answer on a birthday whim. When you look up some of the most beautiful and un-touched places in the world, parts of Fiji will always show up in the search and I wanted to know if it truly was as exotic and off the map as the legends paint it to be. Like Thailand, Fiji is absolutely stunning and has no shortage of lush green neatly placed trees and scenery along the routes. Nadi is the main part of Fiji and has so many hidden roads and small dirt alley's to get lost down. There are many smaller Islands that make up Fiji and it takes an extra plane or boat ride to get there (some people had to catch the Ferry to get pt their hotels). This is a big theme in Fiji, having to catch a boat to your hotel (which I also had to do) but once there it is an oasis that makes you not want to leave whatever resort you have landed on. Outside of the Mediterranean Sea, Fiji has the MOST breath-taking oceans in the world.... crystal clear green and bright blue to which you can see right to the bottom of. My resort [Members Only Location] had delicious food, right along the beach, great entertainment and the friendliest staff I could hope for. When it rains in this amazing location it instantly puts any stress and fears at ease and seeing the earth wash away all the impurities of the world just puts you in a different state of mind. They also have fantastic Golf Courses for the guys, endless beaches for the ladies, beach activities like hoarse-back riding for the kids and fun sea adventures. I booked a great shark hunting expedition with [Members Only Location] that gave me free lunch, time and space at a luxury retreat area and swimming/video equipment for shark hunting.
General Consensus: Fiji is a mommy/daddy honeymoon destination for sure. I would say the adults of the family absolutely need to experience this amazing Island and just have the brag rights to say you've been to one of the most remote Islands in the world.
