Tokyo Drift *Top Destination*

Updated: Aug 28, 2023

I would easily call this enchanting location the Manhattan, NYC of Asia but maybe a few notches higher. In America, it's safe to say that some of our most brag worthy cities include NYC, LA, Miami and Chicago (the list has a few more additions) but Tokyo is hands-down one for Asia. The level of excitement, zen, sophistication and business worthy activities in this city is end-less...oh and there's Disneyland! I don't know what I loved more...dinner at the arcade, shopping at one of the best streets in Tokyo, Mario kart sight-seeing racing in the streets or ceremonial tea but pick a poison and I'll take all of it. Staying at the [Members Only Location] felt like I was in the amazon of Japan and all 3 bars in this hotel are more fantastic than the last. The lobby and rooftop bar are the best for food and drinks but the private [Members Only Location] bar was the best. We originally wanted to end up at 1OAK (so NYC of us) but didn't have a big enough crew to justify that visit so this is the place you go when you want low-key fantastic music, amazing and creative drinks (the black lit menu cocktails) and great scenery. The Hostess/manager there is THE BEST she is such a rockstar for seating us last minute, no reservation and on a busy Friday night but me and my friend are totally worth it (hehe, I had to). Disney Tokyo Sea is a MUST when visiting here if you love theme parks and are a Disney geek like myself as it is the only one in the world and a once in a life-time experience. Universal Studios (Osaka) was the last stop in Tokyo and was everything I wanted it to be and more. Lastly, a 2-3 hour train ride to Kyoto was top 10 in one of the most prettiest and peaceful locations in the world and has so much rich history and culture to offer. Here you can book a tour of some of the most famous/ancient buildings and sights in Kyoto (temples, bamboo forest and souvenir shops). If you go during the right season, the Cherry Blossoms are one of the biggest attractions this city has to offer (a stunning work of art provided by God and nature).

General Consensus: At this point I haven't been to one bad part of Asia yet (trust me I'd tell you). If you really want some excitement, culture, serenity and top-tier experiences I still say Singapore and now Tokyo is the best gift in those categories you could ask for. Top Destination hands down! (and I just love/adore the people)
